In 1982, A.J. founded his namesake residential landscaping and design-build studio, beginning his journey to creating some of Houston’s most beautiful private gardens with stunning hardscapes including garden rooms, courtyards and fountains, natural stone patios and swimming pools. Today, A.J.'s consulting team is composed of credentialed landscape architects and designers, a seasoned installation crew and dedicated staff who consistently demonstrate passion and creativity. 

Who is A.J. Benys? He is a native Houstonian and holds a Landscape Architecture and Horticulture degree from Texas A&M University.

In 1982, A.J. Benys Jr. operated his fledging  business out of a used fire truck purchased with money he received from his high school graduation.

Now, more than four decades later, AJ’s Landscaping & Design Inc. has grown into one of the most prestigious landscaping firms in creating outdoor spaces in the city’s most exclusive neighborhoods.
